About the role
- Our Donegal Area is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Technician to join our team based in West Alexander, Pa or West Finely, Pa
- This individual is the subject matter expert for the Automation and Electrical related operations, maintenance, testing and inspection of natural gas Compressor Stations and associated facilities throughout the assigned operating area.
- The successful candidate must possess strong skills in leadership, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium/high voltage electrical power circuits and associated mechanical equipment
- Lead fiber optic installation, testing and maintenance
Requirements
- 2-year electrical/electronic degree desired
- Capability of obtaining required op-qual tasks for the position
- In this role, you will also be required to perform tasks from other disciplines.
- In addition, they must be a proven self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- This person will be required to have knowledge of TC Energy safety practices, operating procedures, work management processes, and compliance requirements.
Nice to have
- Master's Electrician License or equivalent (i.e. mining electrician certificate) desired Thorough knowledge of the mechanical workings of engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
- Proven leadership and communication capabilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to provide a driver's abstract
- Willingness to travel for temporary assignments, meetings, or training
- The role includes exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Be subject to call-out and overtime
- Travel to other facilities for training and necessary maintenance
- Be subject to a rotating work shift schedule and change of work shift on short notice
