About the role
- The department is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative scientist in the area of exercise physiology.
- Applicants should possess interdisciplinary skills and have strong potential for research excellence in cellular, molecular, tissue, and/or whole-body physiology related to health, exercise, and physical activity.
- Applicants with research foci in the areas of bioenergetics, metabolism, cardiovascular, metabolic, and muscular physiology in humans or animal models are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a doctoral degree in kinesiology, exercise science, physiology, or a closely related field.

Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in the physiology of exercise.
- Evidence of (or demonstrated potential for) a sustainable and focused research program.
- Evidence of experience with advanced laboratory (clinical, basic, or computational) methodologies
- Evidence of (or demonstrated potential for) a strong publication record in kinesiology.
- Evidence of (or demonstrated potential for) high-quality teaching and mentoring in kinesiology.
- Postdoctoral research experience is strongly preferred.
- There should be evidence of the potential to obtain extramural funding.
- Evidence of classroom teaching experience and research mentoring is desirable.
- No unusual physical or environmental demands
- Normal classroom teaching demands

- $100,000-$110,000
