Responsibilities
- In this role, you will lead a team responsible for connecting Mapbox with developers around the world.
- You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to bring the voice of the developer into Mapbox and ensure our community has the resources, content, and experiences they need to be successful.
- You should be equally comfortable developing a developer relations strategy, coaching a team, digging into developer feedback and data, and representing Mapbox through technical content, events, social media content, and community engagement.
- Be deeply hands-on, using vibe coding to rapidly build and demonstrate map-powered apps that showcase what developers can create with Mapbox.
- Own and evolve the Developer Relations strategy for Mapbox, establishing priorities and programs that grow developer engagement, adoption, and advocacy.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Developer Relations team, providing clear priorities, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
- Develop scalable programs that educate and engage developers across technical content, community, social media, events, workshops, demos, webinars, social channels, and developer forums.
- Identify and partner with developers to create content that enables and inspires their peers, including guest blogs, tutorials, videos, workshops, contributed articles, and social content.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to align Developer Relations programs with broader company and product priorities.
- Build programs that enable Mapbox engineers and other internal technical experts to share their work and expertise with the developer community.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Developer Evangelism, software engineering, or a related technical field, including 3+ years of experience leading or developing others.

Compensation
- Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $152,150 - $205,850 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor.
