About the role
- Under the guidance and supervision of a Residence Director (RD), the Assistant Residence Director (ARD) plays a vital leadership role within the Office of Residence Life.
- The role provides an opportunity for hands-on experience in student affairs and higher education administration while contributing to a supportive, engaging, and inclusive campus community.
- This position is offered as a three-year term.
Responsibilities
- This position also participates in an on-call duty rotation, providing crisis response and support for residential students.
- This live-in role requires the Residence Director (RD) to maintain their primary residence in the
- Support departmental initiatives that foster student engagement, inclusion, and community building in the residential experience
- 20%: Departmental Initiatives Support
- Lead and support departmental programming efforts through RA engagement initiatives, signature events, and collaborative programs with other campus offices
Requirements
- The ARD is a live-in, full-time, 10-month professional staff position designed for individuals pursuing a Master's degree.
- Housing must be vacated
- Must be energetic and detail oriented with excellent management and organizational skills

Compensation
- In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $33,000–$38,000.

- Participate in the on-call duty rotation, providing crisis response for psychological, medical, Title IX, and facilities-related emergencies, and following established College protocols
- Promote initiatives that align with the College's goals around student learning, belonging, and development in the residential setting
- Bachelor's degree required and preference of candidates who are pursuing a Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
