About the role
- Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming USPS mail in a timely manner.
- Prepare and ship all outgoing mail and packages using approved carriers.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of shipping options and provide cost-effective alternatives when appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Process and deliver incoming packages throughout the site.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of mail and package requests.
- Maintain adequate inventory of mailroom supplies and materials.
- Support proper handling and organization of physical records in accordance with company guidelines.
- Mailroom Operations & Support
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the mailroom area.
- Actively manage and monitor risks within the scope of responsibility, including information security risks.
Requirements
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field (mailroom, shipping/receiving, operations, or administrative support)
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and communicate effectively through speaking and hearing.
- Prior administrative or operational support experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptability to changing workloads and priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple software applications
- Technical aptitude
Nice to have
- Preferred: Associate degree
