About the role
- This position works closely with internal teams within the overall Controller's organization as well as Regulated Utility Gas Operations Finance, Gas Investment and Strategic Planning, Load Forecasting and others.
- Responsibilities of this role also include leading projects, setting priorities, and special projects as needed.
- The position requires strong technical knowledge and research capabilities to ensure compliance with GAAP and FERC.
Responsibilities
- Prepare GU&I segment reporting including the Financial Reporting Summary (FRS) and support
- Work with others to develop explanations of the GU&I results and drivers
- Provide review and support to other team members
- Prepare and review financial schedules that support internal and external reporting
- Provide accounting support as needed for non-routine transactions as well as large strategic initiatives
- Understand and maintain proper business and financial processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies

- The analyst will interact frequently with various groups to support these activities and other transactions and decisions.
- The position will analyze and research ad-hoc requests, develop reporting, and effectively prepare presentations for management review and decision making.
- Effective communication and relationship building are crucial to succeed in this role.
Requirements

- Basic/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
- Experience with financial applications (i.e., PeopleSoft, OneStream, etc.)
- Advanced degree, preferably in Accounting
- This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Three (3) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree

- Coordination of data to support quarterly / annual Investor Relations presentations
