About the role

  • This position works closely with internal teams within the overall Controller's organization as well as Regulated Utility Gas Operations Finance, Gas Investment and Strategic Planning, Load Forecasting and others.
  • Responsibilities of this role also include leading projects, setting priorities, and special projects as needed.
  • The position requires strong technical knowledge and research capabilities to ensure compliance with GAAP and FERC.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare GU&I segment reporting including the Financial Reporting Summary (FRS) and support
  • Work with others to develop explanations of the GU&I results and drivers
  • Provide review and support to other team members
  • Prepare and review financial schedules that support internal and external reporting
  • Provide accounting support as needed for non-routine transactions as well as large strategic initiatives
  • Understand and maintain proper business and financial processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies

  • The analyst will interact frequently with various groups to support these activities and other transactions and decisions.
  • The position will analyze and research ad-hoc requests, develop reporting, and effectively prepare presentations for management review and decision making.

Requirements

  • Please note that in order to be considered for this position, you must possess all of the basic/required qualifications.
  • Basic/Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  • Experience with financial applications (i.e., PeopleSoft, OneStream, etc.)
  • Advanced degree, preferably in Accounting
  • This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Three (3) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree

Compensation

  • Coordination of data to support quarterly / annual Investor Relations presentations
