About the role
- You'll transform complex datasets into trusted insights that guide business decisions, forecasting, and execution.
- As a Staff-level individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics, you'll play a key role in shaping Aurora's analytics foundation and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that improve business performance, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable dbt data models that accurately represent company KPIs and business metrics.
- Develop and maintain intuitive Looker dashboards that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Partner with Finance, Product, Go-to-Market, and other cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure reliable, high-quality data is available for reporting and analysis.
- Partner with analytics engineers and analysts to establish dbt and Looker best practices, perform quality assurance on data models and dashboards, and support analytics needs across the organization.
- Help scope, prioritize, and execute analytics initiatives that deliver measurable value across the company.
- Our software has designed millions of solar projects so far, empowering solar companies to sell, design, and install residential and commercial solar arrays accurately, seamlessly, and at scale.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in analytics, analytics engineering, or a similar data-focused role using SQL to develop data models and generate business insights.
- 2+ years of experience working with dbt and Looker in a production environment.
- Advanced SQL and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently solve complex data challenges.
- Experience owning the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, including data modeling, validation, quality assurance, and delivery of trusted reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting Finance, Revenue Operations, or SaaS business analytics.
- Familiarity with Fivetran or similar ELT tools.
- Strong experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable dbt models and Looker dashboards based on business and performance requirements.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis, troubleshoot data issues, and support complex data modeling workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and independently drive projects from concept through implementation.

- Experience building forecasting models using Python.
Skills
- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
