Responsibilities
- The Nutrition Specialist will work closely under a lead NS to provide evidence-based obesity science and nutrition advice.
- Ability to manage a large patient load and multiple platforms both in face to face and app communication.
Requirements
- at least a 4 year Nutrition and Dietetics degree, with at least 1 year experience coaching lifestyle and habit changes using nutrition and exercise.
- Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)
- Bachelor's degree in Food &/or Nutritional Science.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian, specifically working with patients with Diabetes or other metabolic diseases.
- Knowledge of clinical competencies based on Nutrition Care Standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Collaboration & problem solving skills required.
- Strong ability to empathize and connect with patients on a regular long term basis.
- Minimum Requirements
- Past start up experience a plus but not required.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in curriculum development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior change.
- Previous individual, small group and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.
