As Senior Director of Global Planning/Tax Strategy at Ciena, this role shapes the company's global tax vision and aligns tax strategy with enterprise growth and value creation.

Lead development and execution of global tax strategy aligned with long-term business objectives and shareholder value
Design and implement tax-efficient global operating and legal entity structures to enable growth and scalability
Partner cross-functionally with finance, legal, treasury, corporate development, and business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives
Drive strategic tax planning across domestic and international jurisdictions while balancing risk and sustainability
Lead tax risk management, governance, and controversy strategy at the enterprise level

Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance required
CPA designation or State Bar admission required
Experience leading strategic tax planning, international structuring, and transaction advisory initiatives in multinational organizations

Range US: 207,900.00 - 290,100.00
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
