About the role

  • The Marketing Manager will take on a leadership role in managing and advancing The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy brands in Canada.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in marketing, brand management, and experience leading successful marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • National Marketing: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns and promotional strategies that align with The Medicine Shoppe objectives to drive brand awareness and sales, that encompass:
  • Brand Identity: Manage and maintain the brand strategy, brand guidelines and positioning, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
  • Omnichannel Marketing: Develop the strategies, creative and execute omnichannel marketing strategies that integrate traditional and digital channels, including campaigns, content, and collateral to engage key consumer segments.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives and content, including social media, email marketing, SEO/GEO, SEM, and online advertising to ensure online presence and consumer engagement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as store operations, pharmacy services, category management, customer communications and events to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Communication: Communicate brand strategies, plans, programs. and tool s to internal and external stakeholders (operations, category management or pharmacy owners), individually or in collaboration with consumer communications, including support and presentations at owner events.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse the performance of campaigns using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Manage the monthly invoicing of vendors and ensure the assigned marketing budgets are respected.
  • As the steward of this brand, they will vigilantly monitor the competitive landscape, develop measurable marketing strategies, and execute strategic plans to strengthen the brand's positioning in the marketplace.
  • This position requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in relevant field
  • 2-3 years of people management experience
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape in the community pharmacy space
  • Proven track record of leveraging all forms of brand expression
  • The Marketing Manager must possess excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, along with a proven track record of managing budgets and delivering results.
  • 5-7 years+ of relevant work experience, preferably within retail and/or healthcare
  • Superior analytical skills, particularly in the areas of strategic, financial and marketing program ROI analysis
  • Proven track record at successfully managing agency partners
  • Willingness to travel within Canada 1-3 times per year
