About the role

  • A Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery for Milhouse Forestry.
  • They will inspect and diagnose malfunctions in heavy equipment such as giraffe, skid steer, forestry tractor, bucket truck, chip truck, chippers and fleet vehicles.
  • Your background: - To be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified. - To have a Class A or Class B driver's license. - Diesel Mechanic Certification. - Formal training in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains large machinery, including forestry-related equipment, hydraulics, and mobile mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain and update inventory of spare parts and tools.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in understanding and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components.
  • Ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately to determine the best course of action for repairs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, forestry leadership, and equipment operators.
