Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving engineering calculations in support of design and baselining efforts.
- Recommending design solutions to meet requirements for new products or processes.
- The Design Engineer 2 is primarily a technical expert for an engineering process or released product.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and 2 years relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency in ASME Y14.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Inventor, CREO, Solidworks, or similar.
- Familiarity with DFM/DFMA methodology
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally up to 5% of the time.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
Nice to have
- Bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years relevant engineering experience.
- Advanced degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
- Physical Requirements
- This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:
- Manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
- While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks
- must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
Compensation
- $110,000 + DOE
