Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to track and explain margin changes resulting from raw material cost fluctuations, including impacts to P&L projections and inventory valuation.
- Lead Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reporting and analysis, providing clear explanations of actual versus standard cost variances and underlying drivers.
- Analyze freight, duties, tariffs, and other landed cost components, and provide recommendations to optimize cost efficiency.
- Partner with Operations and Procurement to support make-versus-buy analyses and sourcing decisions.
- Lead and participate in monthly cross-functional meetings with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to review key financial metrics, evaluate cost drivers, monitor savings initiatives, and ensure alignment to budget and forecast assumptions.
- Perform financial due diligence on key suppliers, including new, strategic, and single-source vendors.
- Support broader spending and operational efficiency initiatives by providing financial analysis and recommendations to optimize purchasing strategies.
Requirements
- Experience and Skills
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to interpret financial results, communicate insights effectively, and influence business decisions.
- SAP experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by the Supervisor.
Nice to have
- Conduct monthly logistics spend reviews and assess cost-to-serve by customer.
- Analyze vendor rebate agreements and project rebate income based on contractual terms and forecasted volumes.
- Evaluate key external cost drivers, including fuel price volatility, insurance increases, rerouting costs, and global economic factors, to provide insights on freight costs, carrier selection, and delivery performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
- 5-7 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environment.
- Experience with data analytics tools and reporting solutions preferred.
Skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by incorporating projected raw material volumes and pricing assumptions.
