About the role
- The Gas Compression Technician is responsible for repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments in the field.
- We are looking for experienced Gas Compression Technicians who can hit the ground running.
- Hourly field premiums and allowances available
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with all makes of Gas Compression equipment (G3600 A4 an asset)
- Experience with commissioning is considered an asset
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Journeyperson Certification in Millwright, Mechanic, Electrician, and Automotive may also be considered
- Dedication to safety
- Solid organizational skills with ability to prioritize and work independently, without supervision often in remote locations.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience is an asset,
- Non-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins,, etc is recognized as an asset.
- This position is located in Fort Nelson on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation
- This will be camp work at customer sites.
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
