About the role
- Shift: Full-Time - Days or Night Shifts Available (Rotating Weekends) This is a 29- bed unit that consists of both Med-Surg and Stepdown patients.
- Our patient population includes diagnosis of strokes, seizures, brain mass, encephalopathy, neck and spinal surgery, and lumbar drains.
- This unit specializes in 24-7 epilepsy monitoring, where patients are being closely monitored and observed for any seizure activity.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, integrity, and ability to be diplomatic.
- 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Specialty certification(s) preferred.
