About the role
- LaAmistad is seeking a B ilingual Parent Liaison to strengthen the bridge between Latino families, schools, and our afterschool programs.

- From translating communication to helping parents navigate school systems, your work will ensure every family feels seen, informed, and involved in their child's success.
Responsibilities
- As a Parent Liaison, you will work closely with families, staff, and community partners to improve family engagement and communication at your assigned afterschool site(s).
- Maintain accurate and confidential records related to parent communication and student needs.
- Attend and help coordinate meetings, events, and workshops involving families, school staff, or community partners.
- Support school-home communication and ensure alignment with LaAmistad's mission and goals.
- Meet with a family about accessing school support services
- Volunteers and staff receive clear, bilingual communication support.
Requirements
- Requires physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs., walk across campuses, push supply carts, and climb stairs as needed.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom
Nice to have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Experience with tutoring, parent coaching, school systems, or social services
- Familiarity with the needs of Latino communities and diverse family structures
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for events

Compensation
