About the role

- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Responsibilities
- Establishes relationships across the HR function to deliver value -added services to management and employees that reflect the University objectives.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or as become evident.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues and/or HR leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of constituents.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task with interruptions and changing priorities.
- Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Higher education experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Embraces Xavier's Jesuit Catholic identity and Ignatian values.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates agility and flexibility to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities.
