About the role

  • FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. with some of the best and brightest people in the business!
  • Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Transformation, this position is responsible for managing all resources involved in the assembly, repair and overhaul, and remanufacturing of HD Truck related products.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective intra and inter departmental communications
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain active communications between all levels of plant personnel to assure a positive work environment.
  • Analyze department capacity restrictions and develop alternative plans to improve methods and layouts
  • Work closely with Demand Planning and scheduling to optimize factory throughput.
  • Implement process/quality improvement and cost reduction
  • Effectively manage the departmental budget, including tracking of capital equipment.
  • Maintain departmental tooling and equipment, including the provision of new/replacement hand tools etc.
  • Manage plant manpower and capacity planning.
  • Pursue and implement the FleetPride code of ethics and values
  • Maintain a positive commitment to the prevention of pollution and protection of the environment following environmental procedures, work instructions and other operational controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Identify opportunities for development and support employees through on-going coaching/counseling, as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and principles. Six Sigma Tools would be beneficial.
  • Bilingual
