About the role

This role involves preparing and reviewing corporate income tax returns, maintaining compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, and assisting with tax planning initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes for the Ilitch Companies and their Shareholders.

Monitor federal and state tax legislations, regulations, and judicial activities, and implement approved changes on tax returns, as necessary.

This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate the unique dynamics of the Ilitch Companies.
Analyze quarterly financial statements for all Ilitch Companies, and calculate any estimated payments (Federal, State, and Local) that may be required.
Perform specific tax research as required, and /or assigned.
Prepare all required foreign bank account filings for all applicable Ilitch Companies and Shareholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Evidence of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task.
Highly developed analytical skills and demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, database, internet and applicable tax software).
Ability to travel as necessary.
Master's degree in taxation, CPA preferred.
Previous experience in audit compliance with Federal, state and local jurisdictions preferred.
Familiarity with CorpTax software, CCH Intelliforms, CCH Research software or Oracle a plus.

Request information for and prepare annual PCORI Excise Tax returns.
Request information for and prepare the following returns annually - Los Angeles business tax renewal, Florida intangible personal property tax return, Kansas City annual business license application, and Texas public information reports.

Works in a normal office environment where there is no discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
Exposure to travel conditions by automobile, airplane, or public transportation.
