Responsibilities
- Build relationships with assigned stakeholders to understand business objectives, initiatives, and communication needs.
- Develop and execute communication plans for organizational initiatives, programs, and projects, including messaging, channel selection, timing, and stakeholder coordination.
- Support leaders in effectively communicating priorities, initiatives, and organizational updates.
- Translate complex information into clear, audience-focused communications that support employee awareness, understanding, and engagement.
- Develop and manage content for internal communication channels and platforms, ensuring communications are accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to effectively manage communication timelines, deliverables, channels, and content calendars.
- Support employee engagement and communication efforts for assigned business functions.

- By leveraging internal communication channels and best practices, the Communications Specialist drives employee awareness, understanding, and alignment.
- Support charities and your community through events sponsored and hosted by Interstates
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or Associates Degree with 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.

- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Education: Bachelors or Associate's Degree in Marketing, Communication, HR, or Business-related field.
- Travel: 5%, with the Sioux Falls, SD and Sioux Center, IA as your home base.
