Responsibilities

  • General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, with primary ownership over Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, and Payroll accounts
  • Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet account reconciliations, and contributing to monthly variance flux commentary
  • Accounts Payable: Support accounts payable operations via vendor maintenance
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and provide documentation, schedules, and support for external audits and internal reviews
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with FP&A, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data processing
  • support ad hoc financial analyses as requested by senior leadership

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is eager to learn, brings a proactive attitude and strong work ethic, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively share progress and seek guidance when necessary
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
  • Covid-19 vaccination will be required to work in our office.
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Ability to manage time effectively with multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve; actively seeks ways to improve processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with financial close tools and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred

Nice to have

  • CPA or working towards a CPA is a plus
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, or DTC/e-commerce environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial close tools and ERP systems

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience
