About the role
- You'll work at the intersection of backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and hardware-in-the-loop systems to ensure that when a drone deploys on a mission, the live operations platform is solid, secure, and performant.

Responsibilities
- Own the scalable backend platform that supports our worldwide real-time services
- Build our platform infrastructure and tooling
- As a vertically integrated U.S. drone technology company, BRINC designs and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems, autonomous drone stations, command-and-control software, and advanced autonomy for public safety.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality code and building robust infrastructure
- Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc) and are comfortable switching between software engineering and Cloud DevOps
- Familiarity with serverless architecture, and understand the tradeoffs between performance and cost when running servers at scale
- Demonstrated experience with cloud architectures focused on scale, performance and security
- Experience building backend platforms, from the infrastructure up to the API layer (bonus if you've built real-time data platforms, scalable microservice architectures, and are experienced in dealing with security and encryption requirements)
