About the role
- You'll be a steward of key company metrics and dashboards, and you'll dive deep on the analytical questions most critical to Thumbtack's success.
- This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants their work to change what the company does next.
Responsibilities
- Lead business performance analysis and reporting that surfaces emerging risks and opportunities for leadership
- Support and improve the company revenue forecasting model and the broader forecasting and planning process
- Build and maintain the dashboards and self-serve tools that teams across the company rely on
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and the leadership team to translate insight into action
- Experience partnering with executives to understand business needs and drive decisions
Requirements
- Proficiency using SQL and Python or R to analyze large data sets
- Experience with using AI to automate workflows and enable self-serve analytics
- Experience with revenue modeling and forecasting, ideally in a high-growth or public company environment
- Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Nice to have
- experience in a marketplace or two-sided platform business is a plus
- 6+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, preferably in tech
