About the role
- Responsible for safely operating a powered industrial truck at elevated heights to lift, stack, move, and store products, equipment, or materials.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate levers and pedals to drive reach truck and control movement of lifting apparatus and load.
- Exhibit a Continuous Improvement mindset by participating in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the company.
Requirements
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete powered industrial equipment training and maintain equipment license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- or one to three months related experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience as a certified powered industrial equipment operator and experience with RF and WMS technology preferred. - use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Grip battery plug-in connections multiple times per shift to recharge equipment batteries. Frequently grab, lift, carry, stack, and/or move materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally climb up to two flights of 10-inch stairs. Operate wrapping machine, pneumatic and banding equipment, and RF scanner. Meet specific vision requirements, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to adjust focus. Must pass a vision test. Work Environment: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and/or extreme heat.
