About the role
- University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for one two-year Postdoctoral Research Scholar position at the HARP Lab (Human Factors, AI, Risk, and Privacy Lab).
- The candidate will work on several collaborative projects and funding proposals related to the research areas of focus at the HARP lab including cybersecurity, privacy, artificial intelligence, risk, trust, and human behavior.
Responsibilities
- include designing and conducting empirical behavioral research using mixed methods, qualitative and quantitative research designs including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and experiments, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, publishing in leading conferences and journals across various disciplines, contributing to grant proposal development

- Fox and her team to manage project milestones, participate in team meetings, lead and contribute to the dissemination of findings across several projects in collaboration with graduate students, and faculty collaborators in UCF and internationally.
- Grace Fox and members of her interdisciplinary team at UCF and collaborate with academic partners within UCF and internationally.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and external partners.
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience conducting and publishing research in one or more areas related to privacy and cybersecurity from a behavioral perspective.
- Experience designing and leading quantitative human factors studies.
- Strong experience in various advanced statistical methods (e.g., HLM, SEM, non-linear dynamical systems).
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Pursuant to Florida State Statute 1010.35, prior to offering employment to certain individuals in research-related positions, UCF is required to conduct additional screening.
Nice to have
- The candidates should have future goals of publishing research.
- Prior experience in designing and conducting research experiments is highly desired.
- Experience working on funded projects and proposals.
- Strong Programming skills (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB) are a plus.
