About the role

Responsibilities

  • Active in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
  • Work with cloud tech stacks to perform data extraction, manipulation, transformation
  • Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge
  • Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users
  • Experience developing, testing, and maintaining software applications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2-5 years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or AWS C2S
  • Experience working with data processing, analysis, or visualization
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • To be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Government security clearance, applicants who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be eligible for consideration.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies
  • Experience with a designing and implementing a wide variety of geospatial trajectory processing, analysis (e.g., forecasting), and visualization approaches
  • Exposure to containers and containerization technologies such as Docker
  • familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus

Compensation

  • In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
  • The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions.
  • Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
  • The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and for all other states is:
  • $140,000.00 - $160,000.00
