About the role
- The Executive Director is a strategic leader who provides vision, organizational direction, and administrative oversight for staff, programs, services, planning, budget, facilities, and center operations.
- Biola University is located in Southern California, in the city of La Mirada.
- The student population includes approximately 3,500 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students, with a mix of residential and commuter students.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, develop, and mentor professional staff to provide high-quality, culturally responsive clinical care to Biola students and community clients.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership, strategic planning, program development, program evaluation, staff development, coalition building, organizational culture, and fiscal management.

- Collaborate closely with Student Development leadership and campus partners to support student flourishing and campus-wide mental health initiatives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to support planning, communication, professional development, and organizational health.
- Multiple years of post-licensure professional experience, including clinical and administrative supervision of mental health professionals and trainees, or leadership experience within a clinical training program.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to serve as a thoughtful and credible public voice for student mental health and well-being.
