Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Management and Product Design to deeply understand customer problems, workflows, and pain points
- Bring a strong technical perspective to help the team identify what is feasible, what is valuable, and what is worth building
- Define and guide the technical approach, architecture, and system design for your team's product area
- Identify and manage technical risks early, surfacing tradeoffs clearly to partners
- Lead the team in delivering high-quality solutions that meet standards for performance, reliability, security, and scalability
- Maintain a high bar for code quality and system design through reviews and hands-on contribution
- Partner with Product and Data to define and track success metrics and outcomes
- Empowered to solve problems, not just build features
Requirements
- 7 + years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (frontend and backend)
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and cloud environments
Nice to have
- Track record of technical leadership within a team (formal or informal)
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience is equally valued
