This role requires you to be opinionated in the direction that DevOps & Security practices are going, make practical recommendations, and take the initiative for the long-term health of the infrastructure and security posture.

Build and operate our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS clusters, GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD/Helm), and CI/CD (TeamCity)
Write and own infrastructure-as-code across both Terraform and AWS CDK, setting reusable, well-tested, peer-reviewed patterns.
Build and enhance our security posture, including topics such as: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, vulnerability and patch management, dependency/supply-chain (SCA) and code (SAST/DAST) scanning, and shifting security left into the developer workflow.
Lead a team of DevOps and Security engineers to prioritize, schedule, and implement DevOps & Security-related tasks.
Discuss with and educate other team members in DevOps methodology, design, and best practices.

Candidates must be based in the United States to be considered.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Hands-on experienced DevOps engineer with at least 5 years of experience as an individual contributor and at least 2 years of experience as a team lead
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
In-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud networking.

Significant experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
Experienced with performance monitoring tools such as Datadog and have a strong understanding of infrastructure and application performance metrics.
Experience with the Java programming language.
Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) is nice to have.

Analyze performance and other observability metrics using tools like Datadog to assess the health of our infrastructure, spot regressions and bottlenecks, and drive improvements.
Help lead the overall technical vision and strategy for all things DevOps & Security.
