About the role
- Pay Range: $25.30 - $37.95 Position Highlights: Full-Time, 35 hours/week 3rd shift, 7 on 7 off, 10-hour shifts.
- Acts as a resource for the team, providing day-to-day direction and guidance on complex issues, resolving conflicts when necessary and fostering a positive work environment.
- Assists leadership with teammate interviewing, selection, development, and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Major Responsibilities Leads the shift or area/program by assigning, monitoring, and reviewing the progress and accuracy of technician work.
- Creates staff schedules and monitors performance, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identifies quality improvement opportunities and collaborates with leadership to design and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety and engagement.
- Monitors and maintains inventory levels, processes drug recalls and ensures appropriate handling of controlled substances.
- Demonstrated leadership skills such as delegation, team building, managing multiple priorities, problem solving, and decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, take imitative, and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform job duties and minimize exposure to hazardous agents, body fluids, and communicable diseases.
- Frequent fine motor motion of hands and wrists to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing, data entry into the computer, and preparation of medications, including use of syringes.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Requirements
- Trains, orients, and educates team members, ensuring competency and completion of required training program.
- Assists with all duties required of Technician I, II, III when appropriately needed.
- What You Will Need: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- For technicians in NC with validating technician responsibilities- an associate's degree in pharmacy technology is required.
- Nice To Have (Not Required): Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
- Must be able to speak and be understood by others to communicate effectively.

- Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
- One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
- Additional relevant PTCB Certificates or advanced certification are preferred.
- Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Highly effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service, problem resolution and process development skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office, email, internet access, electronic pharmacy management systems, and pharmacy ordering and inventory systems.
- Life support training courses may be required dependent on department discretion.
