About the role
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Operator or experienced hourly Team Leader to join our high-performance production team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, mentoring operators, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of production processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Equipment (Maintenance), Engineering and Quality Assurance-to resolve production issues and implement Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs).
- Manage non-conforming materials following the MRB (Material Review Board) process, including identification, containment, documentation, and disposition.
- Operate multiple tools simultaneously to support a smooth and efficient production process.
- You will collaborate closely with Equipment (Maintenance), Engineering, Quality Assurance, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years' experience in a production role in a manufacturing facility, operating automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Knowledge and experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and 6-Sigma.
- Experience with quality control charts and data interpretation.
- Proven ability to work independently and be a self-driven contributor with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime, as required.
- Ability to travel, including overseas, as required.
- Minimum education of High School diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot production equipment or process issues and implement short- to mid-term solutions to maintain production.
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
Nice to have
- Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll-winding and material conveyance, a plus
Skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and teach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
