Responsibilities

  • Manage timely and accurate responses to domestic and international subpoenas, summons, levies, liens, bankruptcies, garnishments, letters from counsel, and other civil third-party requests.
  • Prepare and file litigation and arbitration case pleadings, and provide paralegal support for active litigation and arbitration matters in state and federal court.
  • Support cross-functional legal operations projects such as tool implementations, vendor evaluations, or policy rollouts as priorities arise.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage 50+ concurrent legal matters across multiple jurisdictions with competing deadlines and zero-defect accuracy in filings and correspondence.
  • Familiarity with legal technology platforms for case management, document review, and e-discovery workflows.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

  • The Litigation team manages Coinbase's litigation risks across the globe.
  • As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you'll provide advanced support to our regulatory and consumer litigation teams, with a focus on processing civil subpoenas, summons, garnishments, levies, and account freeze requests, while assisting with all aspects of customer arbitrations and threatened litigation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, including hands-on management of civil subpoenas, summons, levies, liens, garnishments, and other third-party legal requests at high volume.
  • Required Skills and Experience:

Skills

  • Proven track record preparing and filing pleadings and supporting arbitration and litigation matters in both state and federal court.
  • Coinbase is piloting an AI tool based on machine learning technologies to conduct initial screening interviews to qualified applicants.
  • The tool simulates realistic interview scenarios and engages in dynamic conversation.
  • Coinbase will not use AI to make decisions impacting employment.

Compensation

  • $124,780 - $146,800 USD
  • Application Limit: Candidates may submit a maximum of 3 applications within a 6-month period.
