About the role
- Sitting at the intersection of financial news, storytelling, and digital media, this is a hands-on production role focused on the logistical, creative, and technical elements of video creation.
Responsibilities
- Support senior producers in translating complex financial concepts into structured, visually engaging video concepts.
- Develop concepts for YouTube-native formats that translate complex financial topics into visual, culturally resonant videos that drive views, engagement, and growth.
- Use YouTube Analytics to monitor performance (CTR, views, watch time, retention, subscribers) and support ongoing A/B testing and content experiments.
- Partner collaboratively with editorial, social, senior producers, and talent to adapt live video segments across the Yahoo ecosystem.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in digital, streaming, or social video production, journalism, or social video creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing systems to execute high-quality, quick-turn video edits daily.
Nice to have
- 2-5 years of experience in digital video production or social content creation.
- Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop for graphic and basic motion asset creation.
- Experience utilizing generative text models to systematically brainstorm, draft, and refine creative video hooks, copy variations, and distribution angles.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for thumbnail and graphics creation.
- Familiarity with YouTube analytics and structured channel testing (A/B testing titles, formats, thumbnails, and publishing times).
- Experience growing a YouTube channel, with measurable impact on views, watch time, subscribers, and audience composition.
- Core knowledge of financial news sectors (e.g., markets, cryptocurrency, corporate earnings).

Compensation
- The compensation for this position ranges from $56,250.00 - $117,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the
