About the role
- Are you the type of technically minded person who enjoys working with your hands to fix or repair equipment?
Responsibilities
- Perform and accurately record scheduled preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, hoists, paint systems, machining centers, and weld systems.
- Perform basic maintenance functions of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical equipment in partnership, with, or under the guidance of managers or senior/experienced maintenance technicians in assigned maintenance systems, while adhering to safety protocols as an Authorized Lockout/Tagout Team Member and, when applicable, as an Electrically Qualified Team Member.
- Perform basic Microsoft Office skills.
Requirements
- Ability to operate or learn to operate hand and power tools, volt meters, read blueprints and electrical schematics, write intra-departmental communication, and apply concepts of basic math.
- Ability to utilize Thrive, obtain LO/TO authorization, and become certified as an Electrically Qualified team member.
Nice to have
- or associate's degree in basic trades preferred
- experience working within Vermeer manufacturing, preferred.
- High School Diploma/ HiSet and a minimum of two years of basic trades (maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical systems)/manufacturing experience
