About the role

  • US Conec is seeking a Metrology Engineer to support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of measurement systems used in the design, manufacturing, and troubleshooting of advanced connectivity solutions.
  • This role partners closely with engineering, product development, metrology technicians, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate measurement processes, data analysis, and reporting that drive product quality and process performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize metrology programs, software tools, fixtures, accessories, and measurement processes to support new and existing products
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure measurements accurately reflect design intent
  • Create, validate, and maintain measurement programs, procedures, and best practices across the metrology function
  • Support mold monitoring and process improvement initiatives by providing accurate measurement data and feedback to manufacturing teams
  • Collaborate with metrology technicians and engineering teams to plan, execute, and evaluate experiments and validation activities
  • Analyze measurement data using statistical methods and software tools to identify trends, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement
  • Design and support metrology-related fixtures, tooling, and CAD-based solutions as needed
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and compliant metrology laboratory environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and dimensional measurement concepts
  • Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), multi-sensor metrology systems, or optical measurement equipment
  • Experience with Minitab, MATLAB, Python, or other programming and data analysis tools
  • Technical Associate Degree in a related field
