About the role
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including monitoring system performance, equipment functionality, and production activities.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of pipelines, processing equipment, compressors, and associated systems.
- Coordinate operational activities to meet production, throughput, and reliability targets.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you'll supervise operations personnel, coordinate maintenance activities, monitor facility performance, and drive operational excellence across assigned assets.
- You'll partner closely with engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, and maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and address operational issues to maintain continuity and minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and support identification of reliability issues.
- Support implementation of minor process or equipment improvements to enhance performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED typically required.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, SCADA, and operational reporting tools.
- Knowledge of plant operations, process systems, and field operations within the oil & gas or energy industry.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements applicable to plant operations.
- Knowledge of equipment such as compressors, pumps, pipelines, and control systems.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures, maintenance practices, and operational workflows.
- Ability to supervise and direct day-to-day plant operations and team activities.
Nice to have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Process Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, midstream operations, or industrial environments preferred.
- Prior experience providing work direction, mentoring, or informal leadership preferred.
