About the role

The Maintenance Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment and all plant electrical control systems.
The role requires strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation, as well as a commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.

Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures
Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures; perform all work in accordance with safety standards and assist others in understanding electrical safety requirements.
Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship in all job duties.
Support the installation and startup of new manufacturing or support equipment, including specification and installation of electrical services, startup and adjustment, documentation compilation, and training of maintenance personnel.
Compile and maintain documentation for all electrical and controls systems, both new and existing.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC and manual machine shop equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Maintain backups of control software and parameter data in both electronic and paper form.
Develop and implement software changes to improve processes or equipment performance.
perform all work in accordance with safety standards and assist others in understanding electrical safety requirements.
Specify hardware and/or develop software for new equipment applications.

Proficiency in programmable logic controller (PLC) diagnostics and programming.
Experience in CNC machine control diagnostics
programming knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Strong computer and software application skills.
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
CAD experience is a plus.

Education: Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
