About the role

  • Reporting to the Head of Collectibles for eBay Canada, this position involves driving the collectibles vertical strategy for Trading Cards (Sports & TCG), and Cross Collectibles (X- Collectibles - Toys, Comics, Coins ) under the broader Collectibles business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tactics and plans to build the business
  • Monitor key performance metrics (pricing, inventory, discoverability, customer happiness, gross merchandise volume, etc.) and react to drive business
  • Lead all aspects of performance and business planning for top sellers, buyers, and 3rd party partners
  • Develop solutions to identify new businesses, build a strong pipeline and help with onboarding
  • Drive strategic product, policy, communications, business development, marketing, and inventory initiatives in a holistic manner to improve buyer & seller happiness
  • Develop and execute initiatives to fundamentally improve the user experience for our buyers and sellers

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience with growing responsibility in Merchandising, Buying, Category Management/Account Management in an online retail or marketplace environment

Skills

  • Prior e xperience within the Collectibles industry (Comics, stamps, etc.,) is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; French fluency desirable
  • Strong attention to detail with the sense of responsibility for the flawless execution of assigned tasks
  • Expert in MS-Excel and fluency with MS-Office and SQL
  • Bachelor's degree required
