About the role
- Position Overview The AFN is seeking a Strategic Advisor in the Economic Development & Infrastructure Branch.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives that support the AFN's objectives in economic development, infrastructure, and fisheries.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop cohesive strategies that advance the AFN's economic and infrastructure agendas.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with First Nations leaders, government agencies, industry collaborators, and other partners to promote collaborative efforts.
- Develop and deliver strategic communications, including briefing notes, reports, and presentations, to convey policy positions and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and support staff within the branch, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of internal processes and systems that support strategic objectives.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
