About the role

  • We are seeking a mechanically strong field technician with proven hands-on troubleshooting experience on engines and industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on pumps/fleet equipment between each rental.
  • Perform an initial inspection of pump fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment.
  • Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice to have

  • Direct pump experience is preferred but not required
  • we will train on pump systems and electrical specifics.
  • Preferred backgrounds include automotive or diesel mechanics who want to transition into pump and field service work.
  • Commercial Driver License B - Preferred

Skills

  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
  • Commercial Driver License B

  • Diagnosing basic mechanical problems
  • Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices
  • Safety practices and procedures
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues--preferred.

Compensation

  • The estimated salary range for this position starts at $33/hour- $36/hour.
