About the role

  • Novellus Cypresswood is looking for several full-time/hourly Resident Care Technicians who provide personal care, companion care, nursing assistance and other assigned tasks to residents.
  • Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the Resident Care Coordinator/ Director based on an evaluation of resident needs.
  • Provides or assists in bathing or showering for thorough cleanliness and hygiene of resident.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.

Nice to have

  • Six (6) months experience in providing personal care in a residential or long-term care setting preferred.

Skills

  • Requirements & Qualifications Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent resource management, computer, record keeping, interpersonal, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • Assists residents to schedule medical appointments or other vital services as indicated by the resident's plan of care.
  • May be requested to accompany resident to appointments at the direction of the Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Manager, Wellness Nurse, or Director.
  • When directed by the plan of care, assists resident to site fitness program or individual planned events.
  • Applies medical or adaptive devices as ordered by the appropriate physician, physician extender, or supervising nurse.
  • May be requested to assist in collecting specimens as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator, or Wellness Nurse.
  • Assists with activities, including participating and/or leading activities per Activities Manager and Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator, or Wellness Nurse Instructions.
