About the role

  • The Behavioral Health Specialist develops and maintains a comprehensive program of services for behavioral health care needs for patients and their families across the clinic setting.
  • This role serves as the mental health professional member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to improve the screening and management of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns and interrelated medical conditions for patients across the ambulatory care system.
  • Receives referrals for individuals of all age groups from interdisciplinary team members and develops and supports prevention and promotion strategies for behavioral health care as part of whole person care.

Responsibilities

  • Document and maintain appropriate clinical documentation.
  • Support maintenance of data registries.

Requirements

  • Master Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Engage in supervision as required by state licensure.
