About the role

  • The Division of Finance & Administration/Office of Budget & Finance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications for the Senior Business Analytics Analyst.
  • The Senior Business Analytics Analyst independently translates complex business challenges into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations that improve decision-making, operational effectiveness, and institutional outcomes.
  • The primary responsibilities include the preparation of the annual budget and the monitoring and tracking of the financial status of the Knoxville campus.

Requirements

  • Experience with dashboard development, ETL processes, data modeling, and large relational datasets.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Workday, Banner, or similar enterprise platforms.

Skills

  • Advanced abilities with querying, ETL, analysis, visualization and reporting tools.
  • Advanced knowledge working with ERP systems and large relational data environments.
  • Demonstrated ability supporting enterprise analytics, institutional planning, budgeting, forecasting, or operational strategy initiatives.
  • Strong consultative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and work direction to others.
