About the role

  • The Product Development - Robots team is at the heart of SharkNinja's innovation engine, responsible for delivering breakthrough robotic products from concept to launch.
  • You will be a technical leader and advocate for the consumer, ensuring our robots are reliable, intelligent, and delight users in every interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Robot Product Roadmap: Lead the development and enhancement of SharkNinja's robot portfolio, including day-to-day management of technical requirements, product improvements, and optimizations.
  • Champion the integration of advanced technologies (e.g., SLAM, AI, connectivity) to deliver differentiated features and performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Define, develop, and iterate product specifications for robots, balancing consumer needs, market opportunities, and technical feasibility.
  • Partner closely with engineering and software teams to translate consumer insights into robust, scalable solutions.
  • Competitive Analysis: Lead technical benchmarking of competitor robots, identifying gaps and opportunities for SharkNinja to lead in performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Quality & Validation: Partner with Testing and Quality to define and manage robot-specific validation protocols, including firmware, hardware, and system-level testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis of field performance and consumer feedback.
  • Project Management: Own technical project timelines, prioritize initiatives, and manage multiple robot programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Collaborate with external partners (e.g., component suppliers, software vendors) to ensure technical requirements are met and intellectual property is protected.
  • As a Senior Product Developer - Tech (PD-T), you will act as a "product CEO" for assigned robot platforms, collaborating with engineering, software, UX, quality, and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of experience in product development, robotics, software/hardware engineering, or a related technical field-preferably with consumer robotics or connected devices.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
