About the role
- We are looking for expertise in the following areas:
- Low and Medium Voltage (LV/MV) Equipment
- Network, Instrumentation and Controls (N, I&C)
Responsibilities
- Antora builds and deploys thermal energy storage to power always-on industrial operations and data centers with low-cost energy.
- Factory-built in California, Antora's thermal batteries deliver reliable and cost-effective heat and power for industrial loads of any size.
- These Field Engineers will collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to safely commission and operate first-of-a-kind industrial installations of Antora's technology and will be a key technical member of a cross-functional and rapidly growing organization, whose work will directly contribute to the demonstration of a first of a kind long-duration energy storage technology.
- Antora provides airfare, lodging support, daily per diems, ground transportation, and regular home-visit travel.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues from a first principles approach and share learnings across organization, drive issues to resolution bt coordinating both internal and external resources
- Help ensure a clean hand-off from construction to commissioning crew by leading reviews with EPCs and subcontractors to maintain schedule, performance, operability, and safety; RFIs, submittals, QA/QC, punchlists.

Requirements
- This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
- Create, follow, and provide feedback on required commissioning documentation (ITPs, checklists, punchlists, inspection reports, etc.)
- Help ensure a clean hand-off to site operations by providing clear documentation and required training to operations crew
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues from a first principles approach and share learnings across organization
- Strong knowledge of electrical, equipment, and process safety standards and procedures.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with MV (up to 34.5kV) electrical equipment: switchgear, protective relays, transformers, and generators.
- Hands-on experience with LV equipment - motors, generators, load banks, motor controllers/VFDs.
Nice to have
- Desired ("nice to have" but not required)
- Certifications: NETA Certified Technician (Level II/III/IV), OSHA 30 / NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training, Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT
- Experience with processes engineering of systems like Combined Heat and Power Plants, Boilers, Steam Generators and High Temperature Fluid loops.
- Experience with digitalized grid systems, such as SDN, IEC 61850
- Experience with industrial automation controllers: Allen Bradley PLC, HART communications, SEL RTAC, or similar
- Experience with Ignition SCADA.
- Previous operations and maintenance experience

Compensation
- $100,000 USD - $150,000 USD
- Sala ry Basis: Annual
