About the role

AHRC NYC is looking to hire multiple Residential Assistant Managers for their Queens ICF and IRA Group Home residences.

§ Provides direct supervision and guidance to direct support employees assigned to residence.
§ Collaborates with Residence Manager in planning each resident's individualized program of services and care, covering both daily and longer-term needs, and ensuring delivery of services and care by direct care staff that addresses each resident's interests, preferences, strengths and capabilities.
$ High school diploma or GED, along with 3 or more years Direct Support Professional experience at a OPWDD certified residence.

one weekend day each week is required, with two consecutive days off each week, either Fri/Sat or Sun/Mon.
§ Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities REQUIRED.
$ Must be knowledgeable in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities and have knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
§ Must be willing to work one day of each weekend
§ Must have ability to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing program policies and procedures in timely and consistent manner.
§ A valid New York or Tri-State driver's license for more than one year in good standing is required.

§ Experience supervising staff in a residential setting is preferred not required.

$43,000-$48,000 per year depending on residence placement.
In addition, you will receive a $750 bonus which becomes part of your base salary upon completion and passing of AHRC NYC's Defensive Driving class, if driving is required and overtime is available when warranted.
