Responsibilities

  • Own the engineering side of cross-functional initiative kickoffs, midpoints and launches
  • Partner with architecture leadership to ensure innovation work supports long-term platform strategy
  • Platform mindset: You understand how experimental work fits into broader ecosystems and how to build without creating long-term technical debt.
  • Leadership success: You build trust, create clarity and hold engineers accountable for delivering complex products predictably and at high quality.
  • Cross-functional credibility: Product and design partners describe you and your team as clear, thoughtful, predictable partners who produce high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • At least 10 years of professional engineering experience required
  • At least two years of experience managing full-stack or product engineering teams required
  • Demonstrated success leading teams of eight or more engineers through complex, multi-quarter product launches required
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews required
  • Excellent cross-functional partnership skills, especially with product and design required
  • Track record of hiring and growing senior engineers required
  • Technical depth: You are comfortable in architecture discussions and code reviews and can push for sound engineering decisions without micromanaging.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading teams through a product platform or ecosystem transition preferred
  • Background in B2B SaaS, edtech or assessment-driven products preferred
  • Familiarity with modern AI/ML integration patterns preferred
