About the role
- This position oversees administration and business operations for the Epidemiology Division.
- This is a classification in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Merit System Rules.
- Essential Functions: As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, this classification may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics.
Responsibilities
- This position works closely with the Epidemiology Managers who lead the day-to-day operations of each assigned program(s) and reports directly to the Epidemiology Division Manager.
- Builds and maintains relationships with community partners, local agencies, and stakeholders;
- Develops and manages program budgets, including grant budgets, ensuring efficient allocations of resources and expenditures;
- Supervises and mentors program staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid driver license is required at time of application.
- Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
- Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination.

- Minimum two (2) years experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in hiring and onboarding staff.
- Selection Procedure:

- Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications.
- The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources.
Compensation
- $65,457 - $91,644 Annually
- Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
- Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
- Hiring Range: $65,457 - $78,540 Annually
