About the role
- The AoPS Academy Campus Director at our Sugar Land campus is the site manager responsible for leading daily operations, people management, and teaching select weekly math/language arts classes.
- The Campus Director has proven leadership in a dynamic fast-paced setting and a strong background in education.
- This role is full-time, year-round position which includes the school year and summer.
Responsibilities
- Build your campus from the ground up, focusing on community outreach and establishing local presence
- Focus heavily on recruitment, hiring and training of teachers and administrative staff, marketing, and enrollment building in the period of time before classes begin
- Opportunity to build the foundation of our newest campus, work closely with motivated students, and develop a team of passionate educators in pursuit of our shared mission
- Manage the full-time and part-time campus staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling
- Drive student enrollments and retention to meet business objectives
- Strategically manage and plan for budgets, staffing needs, student enrollments, and class schedules
- We offer a world-class curriculum in math, science, and language arts for students in grades 1-12, seeking to build an environment where exploration meets challenge right in your local neighborhood.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Math and/or Language Arts subject matter expertise
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience with demonstrated skill in effectively hiring, training, managing, coaching, and evaluating diverse teams of employees
- This might be the right job for you if you have the leadership, operational, and administrative skills of a principal or manager with the heart and experience of a teacher.

Nice to have
- Primary/secondary teaching experience
- Experience supervising other managers
- Marketing, recruitment, or community engagement experience
- Ability to teach advanced students in grades K-12
- AoPS Academy is an after-school program
- most of our classes and operational responsibilities occur during the evenings and on weekends.
- As such, it's expected that Directors work a nontraditional schedule during the school year.
- Summer hours typically shift to a more standard Monday to Friday work schedule.
Skills
- Lead all day-to-day campus operations
- Regularly meet with current and prospective families in-person and virtually
- Complete other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned
Compensation
- This position includes a competitive starting salary range of $103,425 - 116,825.
