Vaxcyte is looking for an energetic and talented individual to lead Vaxcyte's Physical Security organization.
The primary function of this Director-level position is to lead Physical Security operations for all Vaxcyte global sites, to include offices, laboratories, clinical/manufacturing sites, etc.
This position will develop, manage and grow a high-performing and service-centric team comprised of full-time employees, contingent workers and 3 rd party partners.

5+ years' people-management experience.
Knowledge of contemporary security technologies.
Experience working local, state and federal law enforcement.
Experience liaison with foreign law enforcement
Ability to provide risk-based guidance for corporate travel and events.
Ability to influence and motivate cross functional teams.
Ability to interact with company executives in a clear and concise manner, providing guidance and expertise in high-stress situations.

BA/BS degree in a STEM, or other technical-related degree preferred and minimum 12 years' physical security experience with at least 5 years of in-house security leadership and developing security programs.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications and or/advanced degree will be considered a plus.

The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.
$215,000 - $251,000 (SF Bay Area). Salary ranges for non-California locations may vary.
